A typical night at home.
Andy’s birthday was pretty much the only exciting thing that went on last week. We spent the rest of the week working around the house and doing homework- as usual. :)

“For if one link in nature’s chain might be lost, another might be lost, until the whole of things will vanish piecemeal.”
I was grocery shopping the other day and saw this pretty little flower arrangement sitting all by its lonesome amongst the beer. Obviously it was in the wrong place. I’m assuming that someone who was short on cash decided that beer was more important than Mother’s Day flowers. Poor little lonely flowers. I feel bad for that dudes mom too. Maybe he’ll be able to scrap up some more cash before this Sunday to go back for them. Kinda funny.
On a side note, Andy and I worked on something for the master bedroom last night. I’ll have to post it when I get home later tonight.
We woke up to discover that it had snowed some in the night. But it had all melted away by the afternoon. I was able to crack the windows and let some fresh air in. Mauney cat was quite happy about this.
I pushed the window open even more so she could sit herself up on the ledge and enjoy it.
I spent the afternoon cleaning out my car, doing laundry, working on homework, changing sheets and washing dishes. Afterwards, I settled on the couch with my new book, “I Wonder,” by Marian Bantjes.
Marian is a typographic illustrator who was inspired by the ancient illuminations of manuscripts. Since typography and manuscript illumination are two of my top interests, I knew this book was the book for me.
The book is a funny, creative collection of observations on visual culture and design. Here’s a peak at some of the pages.
So far, I’m really enjoying it. I purchased my copy from Barnes and Noble. I highly recommend it.
In awhile, I’ll put some hamburger vegetable soup on the stove to cook, pick out something from my Netflix instant cue, and begin winding down for the evening.
How was your weekend?
I don’t think the weather can make up its mind. On March 20th, I posted about spring. On March 22nd, I posted about snow. On March 23rd, spring again and today it’s raining and has the potential to turn in to snow. I should be used to this kind of weather by now, but every year it drives me crazy! It’s just such a tease!
Well, that’s fine. I can be a tease too. I’ll just tease you with the following images of summer bliss! Enjoy!
And I just thought this next image was super cute. It’s kind of how I feel right now. Like the weather is saying, “You want sun? No way! Muahahahah!”
