The weather has stayed pretty nice around these parts so far. In fact, I haven’t really needed my winter coat yet. A sweater usually seems to do the trick. But I heard that the forecast calls for a little flurry of snow tomorrow. Good thing it will be Saturday and I’ll be curled up on my couch with a book.
What are your plans for the weekend?

I thought I’d share with you this great Love Story in stop motion by Carlos Lascano. It’s been around for a few years so you might have already seen it, but I still thought it was worth sharing. There’s something about the cold weather that’s sweeping in that makes me feel like cuddling up with my honey a little more than usual.
Enjoy your weekend my friends!!
PS- Like the Ooh! Piece of Candy! Facebook page over there in the side bar to stay in the loop and participate in some fun little chats with yours truly!!
I planted tulips last fall but couldn’t remember what color they were. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had chosen all white blooms. I love them so much. The crazy wind storm we’ve been dealing with today has roughed them up a bit but hopefully they’ll bounce back.
A miracle happened on Friday- Henry and Mauney jumped on the couch and snuggled down next to me, one on each side. For a minute there I thought a massive cat fight might break out right there on my lap- but they pretty much ignored each other. It was so out of the ordinary that we just had to take a picture. Henry boy was feeling a little under the weather the whole day and was suffering from both eye & nose boogies. Poor boy. He seems much better now though.
Such a great weekend. I finally used the gift certificate that my sister & brother in law gave me for my birthday. I came home with an assortment of plants and spent Saturday afternoon getting them arranged in pots. We also managed to get our garden planted today. Andy also sanded, repainted & reinstalled the baseboards back into our bedroom. Time to move the furniture in!!
Weekly Eye Candy is a series on Ooh! Piece of Candy! that will run every Wednesday or Thursday each week. What follows are the things that caught my eye this week. Hope you enjoy!
I haven’t done one of these in awhile. I thought I might bring it back today. I’m sitting here with a to do list a mile long staring me back. I’m so excited to have the time to tackle it today! Plus, the sun is finally shining! Nevermind that it’s supposed to snow on Friday. I’ll take sun when I can get it!

I don’t think the weather can make up its mind. On March 20th, I posted about spring. On March 22nd, I posted about snow. On March 23rd, spring again and today it’s raining and has the potential to turn in to snow. I should be used to this kind of weather by now, but every year it drives me crazy! It’s just such a tease!
Well, that’s fine. I can be a tease too. I’ll just tease you with the following images of summer bliss! Enjoy!
And I just thought this next image was super cute. It’s kind of how I feel right now. Like the weather is saying, “You want sun? No way! Muahahahah!”
I forgot that my morning class had been canceled today. I could have slept in, but instead, I now find myself at work two hours early, sipping green tea and lazily going through my list of projects to complete.
The snow has melted and little greens are popping up everywhere around our yard. I feel the excitement of spring coming on. Last night I spent some time gathering up some of my favorite spring recipes and looking for some new ones to try.
This recipe for Pear, Apple, and Fennel Salad from Cannelle et Vanille was looking especially yummy, light, and fresh. It just so happens that I have two pears in the fridge waiting to be eaten. I think I may have to try this over the weekend.
Snow this morning? Seriously? I’m so over it!
